Events must appeal to visitors and be practical for visitors to attend (i.e. events focused on local attendees such as the Boy Scouts may not be appropriate).
Events that will not be accepted include camps, workshops, classes, meetings, information sessions, rallies, demonstrations, and other resident-focused events.
Individual store sales and promotion-based events will not be posted. The only exception is that we may post specials and promotions for holidays and special events (i.e., a restaurant's Valentine's Day specials) and shopping center events.
Event entries must include title, date, location, time, cost (if any), and a description—including contact info for more information.
"Location" indicates the establishment/area where the event takes place, not the address.
Please spell out addresses (i.e "Street", "Avenue", "Road").
Do not use "us" or "we" in the event description (i.e. "join us as we...."). This leads participants to believe that Visit Joplin is hosting the event.
Visit Joplin reserves the right to edit or reject any event for any reason.
