Howl N Scream Trunk or Treat

Get ready for a howlin' good time at Howl N Scream Trunk or Treat 2025 — hosted by Joplin Humane Society and sponsored by Blue Buffalo / General Mills!

Bring the whole family (two-legged AND four-legged) for an afternoon full of tricks, treats, wagging tails, and spooky fun! We'll have a parking lot full of decorated trunks handing out candy, adorable adoptable pets, and a costume contest!

Prizes will be handed out for: Best Human Costume, Best Pet Costume, Best Group/Family Costume.

Costume contest judging starts at 3:00 PM, so come early and show off your spooky style!

Friendly reminder: Dogs are absolutely welcome, but they must be on a leash and comfortable around other dogs and people.

Adoption Specials all day! Thinking about adding a furry friend to your family? Don’t ghost the opportunity! Special adoption discounts will be offered throughout the day, because there’s nothing scarier than an empty couch with no pet to snuggle. This event is open to everyone, so grab your kids, leash up your pups, and come celebrate Halloween the JHS way!
