Joplin Little Theatre continues its 2025–2026 season with the poignant and character-driven drama Come Back to the 5 & Dime, Jimmy Dean, Jimmy Dean by Ed Graczyk. Directed by Preston Hamilton, the production explores friendship, identity, memory, and the enduring impact of the past.

Set in a small-town West Texas five-and-dime, the play centers on a reunion of the “Disciples of James Dean,” a group of women gathering on the twentieth anniversary of the actor’s death. As memories of youth collide with present-day realities, long-held secrets surface, challenging personal truths and lifelong relationships. The story moves fluidly between past and present, offering audiences a powerful meditation on nostalgia, unrealized dreams, and personal transformation.

Joplin Little Theatre is proud to welcome audiences back to its home stage at Park Playhouse following significant structural renovations. This production marks a continued return to live performance in the historic venue and reaffirms the theatre’s commitment to providing high-quality local arts experiences for the Four-State community.

Performances will take place Thursday through Saturday, January 8–10, 2026 at 7:30 pm, with a Sunday matinee on January 11, 2026 at 2:30 pm. All performances will be held at Joplin Little Theatre, located at 3009 W. 1st Street in Joplin.

Ticket prices are $18.00 for adults and $15.00 for seniors and students. Tickets are available through the Joplin Little Theatre Box Office and online at joplinlittletheatre.org.
