Scottish Rite Cathedral

The Valley of Joplin has been an influential branch of Masonic history in Southwest Missouri and recently marked its 100th Anniversary in 2004.

The Scottish Rite is an Appended Body of Freemasonry; The Worlds oldest and largest Fraternity. Membership is open to any Master Mason who is in good standing and seeks further knowledge into the craft and further light into the principles that guide every Freemason. Like all Masonic branches, the Scottish Rite does not discriminate on the basis of Race or Religion.

Our Cathedral is located at 5th and Byers in Joplin and stands in testament to the Architecture that existed in the early 20th century. All visitors are welcome and, with advanced notice, tours of this magnificent structure are available to individuals and groups. We also rent our Cathedral for activities that need Meeting space, Dining Hall facilities or Auditorium space.

Please browse our website to learn more about the Scottish Rite and the role we play in the Southwest Missouri area. Feel free to send us an email or call our office concerning any questions you may have about the Scottish Rite.
