Flying in and out of Joplin - A HISTORY OF JOPLIN AIRLINES

This Sesquicentennial event offers a stroll through the ages of Joplin airline history. Using printed and video media, viewers learn about Joplin's numerous airline carriers and how they contributed to area transportation options and economies. Visitors can also take time to pose for a photo in front of the actual podium used by Senator John F. Kennedy as he made a 1960 campaign speech at the Joplin airline terminal. Explore other stories of historic aircraft and their pilots that graced the skies of Joplin.
