Emancipation "Park Days" Celebration

The Emancipation "Park Days" Celebration is a Joplin tradition. The event has been celebrated annually since at least the 1920s and is Joplin's oldest celebration. This event is FREE and open to the public and teaches about African American history, culture, and achievement.

The celebration is full of activities including a car show, a movie in the park, live music and entertainment, a kid's entrepreneurial market, and vendor booths to name a few.
